I can haz finul cut xpress? Yeah, basically this is just another test of my awesome Schecter Jeff Loomis 7 string guitar. It's a beast, really. I'm also somewhat testing out my newly acquired copy of Final Cut Express. I'm still figuring it out. Things I played in order of appearance: 1.) Random improvised solo 2.) Made-up sweep/alternate picking lick 3.) Riff from "The Glass Prison" - Dream Theater 4.) Main riff of "Giles" - Unearth Leave a comment, tell me what you think. Also, if you are looking to buy a 7 string guitar... I would definitely recommend a Schecter Loomis. Best guitar under $1000 that I've ever played thus far.

I've heard that it has a rather fat neck (same as the regular c-7) but I really like that, since i have big hands and fingers. I was just wondering how muddy the pickups are? Can you get a really nice and clean solo tone out of them, or are they pretty noisy?

EADDA Said, i honestly have no fucking clue what you are talking about. you can get great guitars for less than a thousand dollars, pretty much all schecters being examples. i once played a 750 dollar tele at a guitar center that far outplayed and outsounded a 3,000 dollar custom shop gibson that i played that same day. its all about the feel and quality, not price. that wasn't really neoclassical either, it was just random shredding to show off an awesome guitar.

Good shoes aren't made by Nike or Reebok and cost more than $100. Good amps are more than $2500 and good guitars can be anywhere from $500 to $2500, realistically. Do you play in a band utilizing your pyrotechnics? That neo-classical stuff is fun for the artist and some stoned kids that get off on it. I see it as playing Mozart, Vivaldi or Chopin for fun. Uli Von Roth?

  20. Dour Said, it's better than any other Schecter 7 necks I've played. It's thinner than the Hellraiser by far. It's not nearly as thin as ibanez, but it's easily playable. fret access is easy
  21. ELKI Said, Hows the neck on it if you don't mind me asking? I was considering buying the Loomis but I'm used to Ibanez necks so I'm thinking it may be a bit thick. Can you get right up to the 24th fret without difficulty? Is the neck quite thick? Sorry for the all the questions, great playing by the way. Cheers.
